Wild on Waiheke

Setting
If you feel the need to burn off some energy after a lazy few days of wine tasting, head to Wild on Waiheke. You can easily spend a full and action-packed day here with outdoor activities ranging from archery to laser claybird shooting. It’s also child-friendly, with a great playground, trampoline and sandpit, plus a number of free activities such as petanque, giant chess and volleyball.

Things To Know
The on-site microbrewery produces craft beers, ginger beer the way you remember it and a refreshing cider. Over summer, time your visit for a tour of the brewery (Sat-Sun 11.15am and 3pm). Dogs are welcome if on a lead. Topknot Hill wines are available by the glass or bottle and there are cellar door sales. Lunches are generous and feature local produce – the burgers and gourmet pizzas are especially popular and perfect for keeping energy levels high.

Our Picks
The brewed Baroona Original Pale Ale is perfect with pizza, as is the syrah.
