Mills Reef Winery

Setting
Located on the western edge of Tauranga, the beautifully curved art deco building that houses the tasting room, spacious restaurant, function rooms and underground barrel room has been a landmark in the region for 20 years, hosting many private functions. The elegantly landscaped grounds offer lots of space with a lawnand courtyard, allowing you to sit outside on a sunny day. This is a compulsory stop if you are visiting Bay of Plenty; indeed many wine and food lovers do come, year after year.

Things to Know
One of the most consistently excellent wineries in the country, the selection includes all the classic varietals with a strong emphasis on delicious reds from the Gimblett Gravels district in the Hawke’s Bay.

Our Picks
The Elspeth reds, exhibiting glorious richness and structure, are immensely appealing. The Reserve range offers excellent value and style while retaining Mills Reef’s opulent intensity.

Mills Reef Winery Restaurant
The seasonally changing menu blends European favourites with Pacific-rim delights. Recently, the restaurant has taken its already top-notch food and service to a new level of excellence.
