Rarely seen down under, Champagne’s sweeter styles like sec and demi-sec are a mixed bag, but this is a good example. It smells ripe and sweet with honey, caramel and candied peel aromas, touched with a whisper of yeastiness. The palate has notable residual sugar, and it finishes soft, slightly sweet and just short of cloying. One for the sweet-tooth.
