Babich The Patriarch

Babich The Patriarch

In 2014 The Patriarch is made from 46% merlot, 35% cabernet sauvignon and 19% malbec, which may explain how this vintage differs from the more robust cabernet-driven 2013. It has more finesse in its raspberry and blackcurrant fruit, still folded through a good measure of smoky oak. Intensity and ripeness carry the palate nicely, while fresh acidity and fine-grained tannins give a tight structure.
