True & Daring Wine Centre

Setting
Venturing out west calls for a compulsory stop at True and Daring. Previously known as Sandihurst, it was founded back in 1988, making it one of Canterbury’s earliest wine labels. Taken over by South African Hennie Bosman and his ex-ballerina wife Celia in 2005, the winery has undergone some major changes in recent years, most notably the decision to focus solely on riesling.

Our Pick
Try the library stock of True and Daring’s 2007 riesling.

Plus
True and Daring are all about championing local food heroes, artists and craftspeople and stock a bunch of other Cantabrian wine brands that are regularly opened for tasting.
