You can’t help but notice the massive rugby ball that stands erect on the lawn between the winery and the cellar door. Made from vine prunings to celebrate the 2011 Rugby World Cup, it is an awesome sight. It is matched by other creations, also from prunings, that are scattered inside the bright, sunny tasting room.
Things To Know
Te Mania is owned by Cheryl and Jon Harrey who established the label in 1990. Most of the wines are certified organic and express their individual sense of place. The cellar door is shared with Richmond Plains, allowing visitors to try both ranges in the one setting.
Te Mania Gewurztraminer is luscious and fragrant as is the syrah, which has vibrant, dark berry fruits.
