Giesen Wines

Setting
Despite being one of the earlier converts to Marlborough sauvignon blanc, Giesen didn’t have a cellar door until 2011. Now a tasting room opens out onto a courtyard. An Enomatic wine-dispenser system allows visitors to try a range of international sauvignon blancs and compare them with the local Giesen range. Platters are available, each one focused on one of the wine ranges.

Things To Know
The Giesen brothers – Theo, Marcel and Alex – are proud Marlborough producers. But there is far more to this company than sauvignon blanc, with excellent pinot, noir, chardonnay and, recently, syrah.

Our Picks
Anything from The Fuder range, especially the chardonnay. And if you like sweet wines, try the delicious Late Harvest Sauvignon Blanc.
