Making brut (dry) styles of Champagne only began in 1846 and Perrier-Jouët was the first to go there. This is a sophisticated style with yellow fruit notes, chamomile and chalky notes adhering to a line of crisp acidity. It has plenty of youthful vigour and would benefit from some cellar time.
